THE SILKEN ROPE AWARD - for BEST SHORT STORY - minimum length 1000 words - maximum 12,000. Stories must be published between 1st January and 31st December 2025. Horror or thriller genre. Must be submitted to Sykehouse Film and Novel Awards by 10th January 2026.Shortlists - announcement March 2026. Finalists announced on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Sykehouse Film and Writers' Festival Awards dinner.
